I think that the internet sponsorship is a good one. I also think that
supporting travel for volunteer members to relevant meetings or to attend
courses might also be desirable (e.g., tabitha's travel to SF, the open
source accreditation, etc come to mind). Also, replacement parts sometimes
need to be purchased.
I would almost argue that a kitty fund that is available as priorities
emerge might be a good way to go, with the group (and perhaps some external
assessor) creating priority lists/justification for spending.
