Hello team
We have a request to help sugarlabs by testing Sugar 0.88 development
releases before April.
Post the LCA2010 Open Day this weekend if anyone would like to put their
hand to be the contact point for this (feel free to take few breathing space
days before replying)? This would involve reading the roadmap, being the
contact for the development team, downloading the releases and making sure
we give feedback at the appropriate points in the cycle. You will need to be
subscribed to http://lists.sugarlabs.org/listinfo/sugar-devel to keep up to
date.
If you can lead the NZ support for the Sugar 0.88 development release please
reply to Simon and Tomeu.
Thanks
Tabitha

Hi Tabitha,
I know you are doing a lot of great work with testing for the olpc project.
Currently the Sugar team is working on the 0.88 release that will be
available by the end of march 2010 [1].
Sugar has a 6 months release cycle. To get new Features bug free for the
release they have to be tested already during the development cycle. There
are so called "development releases" during the cycle. Those are available
as Soas-images [2] and do need testing.
Do you think your group can help with this task? Until the end of April we
have 5 development releases and two bugfix releases. If we coordinate well,
I think we are able to get a good result with not too much investments
time-wise. I made already an official call on the mailing list [2].
Let me know what you think, "no, we do not have free cycles" is a fine
answer of course :)
Thanks,
Simon
