Yup,  I'm about 500m from the University of Canterbury.

I'm interested in meeting up with other XO people, but I've got a bit
much on my plate to do much regular testing or organising.  On the other
hand I'm hopefully going to be producing a few things of interest.

Here's what I achieved tonight.  I got my easy project bundle system
working.

With this, Making a program that actually does something is remarkably
easy.

There's another clip showing the same dev system actually running on my
XO.  It shows a simple demo program using the Whio library. Whio is also
designed to be an extremely low barrier to entry environment.  A
fullscreen graphics program is just a few lines of code.

The overall 'Master Plan' is coming together quite quickly at the moment
so I'll try and get an Archive together of the whole thing shortly for
you to have a go.
