[Olpc-indonesia] Olpc-indonesia Digest, Vol 9, Issue 1

Can you or anyone tell me what luck you have had with the people at XO
computers. I made a $1000 donation that I subsequently canceled
because they would not send 1 computer for me to check out in
anticipation of ordering 100 computers for the kids we serve in and
around UBUD, BALI. In fact the people I spoke and communicated with
at XO were idiots in my mind. When I asked again and again I was
told, all the specs are on the web, there's no need to get one [even
though I offered to buy it] to see if it works in Bali. Then, it
could not guarantee a delivery date, state who its import agent was in
Bali or Jakarta but it wanted 100% payment up front. There was no
offer of customization like its website lists so I cut my ties and got
my donation refunded. That was a fight too and I finally disputed the
charge with American Express, sent them the correspondence and they
reversed the charge.

Has anyone had a positive experience with XO. I'd love to get 100
computers if they are an upstanding company, standing by their
products and making it easier to do business with them.
