Bonsoir,

Auf/Sur/At http://www.flickr.com/photos/vorburger/tags/olpc/ - some photos from our OLPC.ch workshop for school classes at Tag der Informatik in Zuerich today.

What we did: Niklaus gave an introductory 10' talk with great age adapted slides (thanks again Niklaus for all the preparation!), I did a brief demo/explanation
of some Sugar Activities, usually Collaborative Writing and sometimes including Scratch ("let's program a rainbox"), then it was "free style try
yourself", with assistance if needed. We did about... 6-7 sessions between 9.30 and 17:00 I think, with on average 15 pupils - we must have shown XOs to about 100 children and their teachers from (German speaking) Switzerland today?

My favorite moment of the day: When we explained that "one of the core principles is one laptop for each children, owned by the child, not the parents or teachers", in one of classes (young ones) spontaneously all starting clapping! ;-)

Regards,
Michael
