[OLPC.ch] XO-4 bulk order

Dear OLPC supporters,

The soon to come XO-4 and XO-4 Touch, a laptop/tablet-hybrid, look very
appealing. Optically it will not be very different from the XO-1.75. But
it has a touch screen (only the XO-4 Touch of course) and is designed
around a Marvell chip. For those of you who like to dig into the
details, here you'll find the specifications:

It seems to me that the devices can be of great interest for users in
Switzerland, too. Furthermore, in the past we were often asked to
organize a possibility to buy XO devices in our country. Therefore we
think of organizing a bulk order, like many of our colleagues in other
countries already have practiced with the XO-1.

Today we don't know if and when the XO-4 and XO-4 Touch will be
orderable. Nor do we know neither the exact price nor the conditions. We
believe a shipping in the second semester of 2013 and a price around 250
Swiss Francs (incl. all costs as shipping and customs) for the XO-4
Touch as realistic, the XO-4 might cost a little less. We'd like to add
a standard donation of CHF 25 to every ordered device, since we plan to
support the Najude Pioneer School in Nigeria with 20 XO-4.

This call is non-committal. At this stage, we would only like to have an
idea, whether we can collect 100 orders for the XO-4 or/and the XO-4
Touch, since this has been the lower limit for orders in the past. So
that we are already in our starting blocks, as soon as the device is
mass-produced. Please note: The devices will most probably be contain an
US-American keyboard (x and z in reverse). If you're interested for one
