I have been experimenting with Clonezilla to produce an XS server image which can be used quickly
clone other servers, requiring minimal post clone editing.
Using an HP Compaq with 40Gb hard drive, it took around two minutes to create the
image and around three minutes to restore it to another similar computer.
During the cloning investigation, I was having problems fixing the ip address of eth0 using the boot.iso dated 17-12-2010
An error that appeared on start up was
/etc/sysconfig/network - template file is missing
When I compared the /etc/syconfig/ directory with one built using the standard server cd, I discovered that network.in was missing.
Adding the network.in file solved the problem.
