Hi,

The revised boot.iso was downloaded and a cd created.
XS 11 installed without incident.

Domain set using /etc/sysconfig/olpc-scripts/domain_config
yum install nano 'cause I can't remember the vi syntax
Edited /etc/ssh/sshd_config and /etc/ssh/sshd_config.in to allow ssh access

User added for remote access

Static ip address set for eth0 by editing /usr/share/doc/xs-config*/ifcfg-eth0-local.example and copying it to
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0-local

I was able to register an XO-1.5 (au359) with XS after adding a schoolserver reference in the XO's /etc/hosts file.
The XS is accessible across the WAN from another school.

Question: Once the XS server is set up satisfactorily, can an image be made which can then be used to clone the other school XS servers prior to deployment?
Given that the servers all have identical hardware.
All that will be required is to customize the /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0-local file for the specific school?

Cheers

Ian
