It is used by our Fedora upstream.  I don't have a whole lot of
familiarity with it myself.  If you want to try working in it on
something of use to OLPC, follow the links upstream for one of the
packages with the "FT" prefix (Fedora Transifex) from our upstream
L10n tracking project.
