     My name is Mark Charles Hardie,Esq. I graduated from University of 
     California at Riverside in 1994; and University of California
     Hastings College of the Law in 1997.  I am currently stationed
     at Sheppard Air Force Base in Texas.

     I am highly interested in Mr. Negroponte's One Laptop Per Child
     initiative.

     Furthermore, I am highly interested in adapting the One Laptop
     idea for children residing in Hurricane Katrina-devastated
     New Orleans.  Hurricane Katrina exposed the deep poverty and
     social disempowerment of the New Orleans area.

     I highly believe that children in this area would indeed benefit
     from the One Laptop initiative.
