As there was no previous language admin for Lithuanian (and apparently no other Lithuanian localizers), I have made Vaidotas the language admin for Lithuanian. The first job may be to recruit more localizers.<br><br>The functions of a language administrator are described here, but feel free to ask questions on this list. Other language administrators can familiarize you with the use of Pootle.<br>

<br>The default permissions for Pootle are typically set up to only allow suggestions at first, which is a way to make sure that new localizers are performing to a high standard before being granted immediate "Submit" privileges. That judgment is typically made by the language administrator who has the privilege to review and approve suggestions and to add "submit" privilege to users that have been making "good" suggestions. Vaidotas, now that you are the language administrator, you will be able to "submit" immediately, as well as go back and approve your own suggestions, use the "Review" tab to find the "hassuggestions" links, that will take you to only those items with suggestions.<br>

Alternatively you could convert a translated "po" file into an "mo" file yourself using the "msgfmt" command from the "gettext" tools. If you put the "mo" files into the right place Etoys should find them.</div>

</div>The male line of my family seems to be originally from Tservin in<br>
Poland, the source of our family name. The family Polish joke is that<br>
my grandmother was from a part of southern Poland that was in the<br>
Austrian Empire at the time, while my grandfather was from a part of<br>
northern Poland that was in Lithuania at the time. Putting aside the<br>
parts of Poland that were in Germany or Russia at the time.<br>

Of course, that joke cuts several ways, as there were parts of various<br>
other countries, including Lithuania, that were in Poland at one time<br>
or another, and similarly for many other countries of Europe, on both<br>
sides of the question. I am sure that you know better than I do how<br>
Lithuania and Russia also had severe problems with the medieval<br>
Teutonic Knights who took over Prussia.<br>
