[Localization] TimeLine string doubt

Dear Localizers,

Even native English speakers have troubles from time to time, so I thought
I would throw this to the list to see if anyone has more confidence in the
correct answer than I do.

TimeLine activity:

/home/alan/Activities/TimeLine.activity/wx/tools/Editra/src/ed_menu.py:622

Should the string be:

Commands that affect an entire line

or

Commands that effect an entire line

Note the distinction between affect and effect.

Any feedback would be welcome.

I have always considered Strunk and White's "Elements of Style" to be my
reference of choice and so I lean towards "effect", but I am open to other
opinions.

*Effect.* As noun, means *result;* as verb, means *to bring about,
accomplish* (not to be confused with *affect,* which means "to influence").
As noun, often loosely used in perfunctory writing about fashions, music,
painting, and other arts: "an Oriental effect;" "effects in pale green;"
"very delicate effects;" "broad effects;" "subtle effects;" "a charming
effect was produced by." The writer who has a definite meaning to express
will not take refuge in such vagueness.
