I plead not guilty :-). I am still trying to get my around Pootle<->SVN 
operations. I haven't checked in anything into Etoys SVN yet.

The way I understand is that Pootle keeps its working copy in its local 
database and exports them back into files when certain links are clicked. This 
explains why files downloaded using Download link differed from those fetched 
directly using wget (ouch!). Version control ops co/ci are exposed on 
Translate/Review pages as Update from VCS, Update all, Commit to VCS).

But I couldn't figure out how conflicts and merges are handled. So I decided to 
play safe and knock my head on the wall instead :-).
