[Localization] [Announce] New Project: Update 1 Core

Hello all,

As some of you must be knowing, the core packages of the OLPC s/w
environment were branched a few days back for Update 1[1].
We have merged the translations that you had done with this branch, and
now we have a new project in Pootle, called Update 1 - Core[2]. This
follows the update-1 branch in the GIT repositories.

You should ideally be trying to complete this project before you move on
to the others - since this consists of the core of the software people
will be using in the very near future. Moreover, one of the advantages
of translating this project is that the number of string changes in this
branch is going to be minimal, as any changes to the code in this branch
requires approval before going through. So effectively, this branch is
in string freeze :-).

The ever energetic Xavi has already added the existing administrators
for the various languages to this project - let us know if you are an
administrator of another project and if you do not have the required
privileges in the Update 1 - Core project.

A new thing that you will be seeing as an administrator for this project
is a button labeled "Commit" when you click on "Show editing functions"
in the Pootle interface. This button allows you to push the translations
that your team does into the GIT repository hosted at dev.laptop.org.
Whenever you add/change/remove a significant number of strings, please
commit your changes, since this will ensure that your translations go
into the actual packages (and ultimately, the actual OS image for the
XO) that are generated from the source code during the build process.
