compcache is used for Embedded Devices, Small Desktops (aka Virtual
Machines!) and LiveCDs

I have done some testing showing that Compcache can be used to
dramatically reduce memory usage of  LiveCDs, . I believe that Nitin
Gupta is currently interested in benchmarks for the "Small Desktop"
option, which would usually mean x86.
