[OLPC India] Ownership of olpc.co.in

I have no interest in the past beyond a brief background and shall appreciate if no reference is made to me in that regard.

I understand that from OLPC's perspective nothing much happened in the last year per the expectations beyond one pilot and now we need to focus on growth and that is what the current team is busy with.

I will be glad to take up questions that can help improve OLPC's reach and quality of experience .

If there are serious questions, please send them directly to me as I do not want to clutter everyone's mailboxes and would like to bring up issues to the mailing list as and when they seem appropriate without distracting people and when, I believe, they may be helpful to the larger community.

Thanks
Please pardon my brevity! Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T

"None of us knew who did what" : There are plenty of articles on the
web (search 'Reliance' + 'OLPC' on Google).
A nice example :
http://www.zdnetasia.com/news/hardware/0,39042972,62044520,00.htm

"A couple of people were supporting a certain project and I hope they
are still supporting it."
Reliance = "A couple of people" ?! And you just don't know if Reliance
is still supporting OLPC ?! After Nicholas Negroponte visiting them in
August, this is surprising.

I am more interested in the present than the past (but others may be
interested). Since I don't see any of those people we used to see on
this list, since no news is given about the development of
http://olpc.co.in I assume there is some problem with the Reliance
team and the volunteers.
Satish, you are very present on this list but you are not in India, so
who is doing now the work of OLPC in India ? Can those people come on
the list and explain what they do ? How it is possible to get support,
spare parts, training, when they plan to put a website online...
Video conferencing in August was a nice initiative, before that we had
phone conferencing, now nothing. If this is not the result of a clash
with Reliance, what is it ?
Also, you wrote sometime ago that the pilot time was finished in
India. What was the result, did you publish any report ? I personally
visited the pilot of Kaihat, I would be interested to read the
conclusions.
