The Hastily Formed Networks Research Group at the Naval Postgraduate School has a project, <a href="http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Projects/XOs_for_HADR">http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Projects/XOs_for_HADR</a>, underway. And Professor Sonstein at the Rochester Institute of Technology, <a href="http://wiki.laptop.org/go/OLPC_Rochester,_NY/Event_history/26February2009">http://wiki.laptop.org/go/OLPC_Rochester,_NY/Event_history/26February2009</a>, has a group working on upgrading the software architecture of Sahana and the XO to allow them to self organize during disaster recovery operations.</div>

<p>We are working on an automated digital microscope with smart blood collection cartridges via fingerprick and image analysis software to diagnose malaria vs. bacterial vs. viral infections. We need a computation platform and look at the
XO (and later generations) with great interest. </p>

<p>How is the health application part of OLPC organized? </p>
