[Health] NYC Meeting on HIV/AIDS Education and XO Strategies : August 15th Monday

      The goal of the meeting is to review the available XO HIV/AIDS curriculum(s) and review some strategies to provide impetus to expand and enrich these. We want to look at the whole topic and what topics require which tools.  Some require discussion, some writing, some manipulatives, etc..  We would do the same with some math materials.  Although two hours is very short for this kind of work.  I would be glad to come down for two sessions.  

          Jeannie Joshi work on designing an HIV/AIDs curriculum would be input to this discussion as well as The Hands of Charity HIV/AIDS curriculum and videos.

      We'd like input from other groups engaged in these curriculums.   Participants each bring their stories, designs, experience using XO technology in classrooms so we can share successful experiences, and understand how to provide material that can be adapted in different cultures.

      HIV/AIDS Curriculum used by the Small Solutions partner in Kenya.   Alan Papert will contribute some mathematics modules he has developed.
