Greetings Neighborhood Association Presidents and MNAC Reps,

The county is organizing a 3-year process to develop a Comprehensive Health
Plan for Whatcom.  This plan will provide guidance on health issues of
public importance for several years to come.

As a first step in identifying those issues, project organizers are hosting
nine public forums, called "Health Counts Community Conversations." The
first forum is in Bellingham on Wednesday, March 19th from 9:00 am-12 noon
at St. Luke's Community Health Education Center.

Information about two other Bellingham forums is included on the attached
flyer entitle "ALL EVENTS."  Project planners are hoping for 50-150 persons
at each forum.  All of the forums will be professionally facilitated using
Open Space Technology.

The attached flyers include information about"  1)  the March 19th
Bellingham forum; 2) a schedule of all county-wide forums (including two
additional Bellingham forums); and 3) a project overview.
Project organizers are requesting that this information be passed on to
your neighborhood association members, to encourage broad-based
participation in this important information-gathering process.
