Hello all,<br><br>was wondering how to find out if we had been assigned a mentor? i'd been told that there were a few people interested in mentoring my idea, but i don't know who. <br>In case anybody is interested, my project is to bring java on the OLPC laptop. It is quite a complicated task but i like challenges, so if anybody wants to mentor the project, or simply has some tips for me, please let me know!<br>

Hello, Abhishek! Replying to this and a few previous posts:<br><br>1. Every student who had an assigned mentor should be in touch with that mentor to discuss how you may need to update your milestones and timelines, with an eye towards having something to show at the end of August (when we hope to showcase all of this work).<br>
Many great projects did not have mentors assigned; if you would like a mentor and did not get one, please post here and ask! We do have mentors without students. <br><br>2. For everyone who proposed a project, please follow the link on the page for our contributors program:<br>

<br>I will be posting the list of the top 30 or so projects which we are automatically accepting into the contributors program; the others will be accepted on a case by case basis, as we accept all new proposals.<br><br>

Hi,<br><br>First of, Congratulations to the selected project proposals! <br><br>Although my project proposal ( <a href="http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Customizing_Moodle_to_include_efficient_Examination_Processes" title="Customizing Moodle to include efficient Examination Processes" target="_blank">Customizing Moodle to include efficient Examination Processes</a> ) did not get accepted, but like other enthusiastic students I too want to continue my work on my proposal. And in regards to that was wondering about a few things:<br>
<br>1. Can I get any help / mentor-ship over the course of development to keep up the development standards; may be from the same mentor who was assigned to me during GSoC review period? (Having some (even very limited) sort of mentor-ship gives assurance of not missing out on any standard charters being followed at OLPC - which is I guess necessary when you are remotely located)<br>
<br>2. SJ mentioned about 35 projects being above par, to whom OLPC may look forward to offer XOs, auto-developer program enrollment, internships, etc. I wanted to know if my proposal stands in those 35? If yes, how can I avail any of them? Is there a process for the same or OLPC will contact itself?<br>
