Hi Isabella,<br>
<br>
Just to clarify OLPC's recommended minimum order of 10,000 XO laptops
is not the final word -- see for example OLPC Canada's announcements
around enabling 5000 aboriginal youth with XO-1.5s just last week:
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://olpcCanada.com">http://olpcCanada.com</a><br>
<br>
Rest assured our volunteer community leader in the Dominican Republic
(Ivan) will try calling you later this week, to explore what you might
want to invest in, alongside him and the broader OLPC grassroots
community network in the Dominican Republic and Haiti.<br>
<br>
In the meantime, please don't hesitate to explore and learn from
others' experiences worldwide:<br>

The minimum order is 10,000 XOs. You may be able to find other NGOs to
share the cost with. Waveplace in Haiti is the first I think of, since
you share an island.
I don't know why you have not received any other reply on this list.
