Dear all,

Sébastien Adgnot has helped develop an olpc/Dailymotion collaboration over the months since olpc.dailymotion.com was first set up, including brainstorming ways to run contests for communities to upload the best videos for teachers and students. We are putting out a press release tomorrow announcing the collaboration (providing ogg formatted video, promoting the idea of olpc, promoting the idea of sharing videos for children and education). DM will be featuring info and video about olpc on their main page, which will likely mean a surge of interest on the wiki. And they have a great multilingual community, and we can hopefully use this publicity as a way to get more video submissions in Spanish, French, and English.

We could use help prepping email announcements tonight to go out in tandem with the release, and picking some video and mediacommons groups to share it with, and fixing up the main page and Participate pages, and making sure the major pages/templates are protected, in prep for extra attention from new visitors.

It would be nice to have spanish and french translations of the release as well.
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/OLPC:Press_releases/Dailymotion-20080903
