iEARN is a lovely organization that we have worked with in the past, and for
those of you nearby this is a nice opportunity to meet people from Taking IT
Global as well, a youth advocacy group based in Canada.

Special Conference Announcement!* In July 2010, iEARN-Canada will be hosting
the 17th Annual iEARN International Conference and 14th Annual Youth Summit.
This is a gathering open to all, which typically brings together teachers
and students from 50-70 countries. It builds upon previous conferences in
Argentina (1994), Australia (1995), Hungary (1996), Spain (1997), USA
(1998), Puerto Rico (1999), China (2000), South Africa (2001), Russia
(2002), Japan (2003), Slovakia (2004), Senegal (2005), the Netherlands
(2006), Egypt (2007), and Morocco (2009).

All are welcome!  We invite you to join hundreds of educators, students,
administrators and partner organizations who come together annually at the
iEARN Conference and Youth Summit to share how they are using technology to
build global understanding and enhance teaching and learning!

Among countries registered so far: Armenia, Argentina, Australia,
Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belarus, Brazil, Cameroon, China, Cote D'Ivoire, Egypt,
Ethiopia, France, Gambia, Georgia, Ghana, India, Iran, Israel, Italy,
Jamaica, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Korea, Lebanon, Liberia, Malaysia, Mali,
Mexico, Morocco, Nepal, Netherlands, Niger, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan,
Palestine, Philippines, Poland, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Russia, Rwanda, Senegal,
Sierra Leone, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Suriname, Taiwan,
Tanzania, Togo, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, USA, UK, and Yemen.

*Visas for Canada*
Visa applications to Canada might take a few weeks to process at the
Canadian Embassies. We are in the process of preparing Letters of Invitation
for the conference. If you require a Letter of Invitation to apply for your
Visa to Canada, please complete an invitation letter request

Please also be aware that we can not send the Letters of Invitation directly
to the Embassies.

*Day Trips*
Registration for special day trips on Wednesday, July 14th is open.
Participants are encouraged to sign up and pay as soon as possible for these
