# incidents
I think there it not a big difference with coffee :)
You can save a lot damage by:
- when it gets wet remove the battery immediately
then:
- take the XO apart clean it form salt
- let dry ~ 3 days
- test it on power supply, without the battery
- when switching on, and it works, leave it on for a couple of hours
When it broken check the motherboard for corruption and so.
# structural issues
If it is a general problem you may consider to protect the XO
by using a spray that protects it against water. A problem may be
that once "salted" motherboards keep attacking humidity from the air.
