[Grassroots-l] different laptop-giving outreach messages by audience

We have a fairly good set of neutral messages about G1G1 up on [[G1G1
2008]], which is a sight better than we had last year, and more
accurate answers to core questions. But we don't have details for
audiences that know what they care about and aren't primarily
interested in getting a laptop themselves. I'd like to see a focus on
clear messages about what giving entails and how it helps, for a few
audiences. Of course I don't know exactly what people most want to
know, or how to put it, so help me out:

For int'l development groups: I'd like to come up with statistics
about the country impact the first g1g1 had for educator groups that
are trying to organize their own giving projects. We've had
interactions in the past with the World Computer Exchange among
others (copying Tim :) who interact regualrly with schools that might
be interested in receiving a number of XOs with their next shipment of
computers and parts. Tim in fact would be happy to know more about
the repair and spares program as well, since they follow up over the
years and send whatever replacements their partner towns and schools
need...

For child-care and -education groups: Something specific about the
UI, including recent design changes and experiences in various
schools. Something that pulls together the sparse info from the
trials that have completed their first semester or year. Christoph
and unimauro, you should have a lot to say about this one... and of
course the sugar designers should comment as well ;-)

For green energy groups: we need a clear distinction between exactly
what we do now - what power draws we have and what sources we can use,
field instances of using bikes, cows, car batteries and solar - and
what we hope to do in the future. A paragraph describing the
realities of suspension, to motivate interest and encourage those
interested in the problem. What else?
