Mr. Negroponte,

 

I have spent the last 3 years building, deploying and marketing WiFi
networks in the United States in Tempe and Chandler, Arizona, Farmers
Branch, Texas and Longmont, Colorado for Kite Networks. 

 

I find your core idea outstanding, but think that we often over look the
market in the United States where there are millions of kids that need
computers and access to the internet. I have worked with cities all
across the United States that have deployed WiFi Internet networks but
have struggled to help the poor and the needy cross the "Digital
Divide".

 

I think your organization and your laptop might be the answer and I
would welcome the opportunity to work with your organization to promote
the laptop in the US.

 

I have a meeting this week in a small city in Georgia that will be
deploying a small WiFi network and how to get access and computers to
the poor is one of the topics.
