I'm eventually responsible for that, but I am working on some other
stuff (the Cairo backend). I'm soon going to return to working on
hardware integration. If you're interested in helping, a first step
might be to develop a good interface for camera/microphone interaction
from within Pygame. The main problem is converting a stream of data like
from a camera or microphone into discrete events that arrive on the
Pygame event loop, so perhaps you could propose a consistent interface.

If you want to work on the code, you can check out the Git repository
that contains various game-related code. The wrapper lives in the
'olpcgames' subdirectory, and the URL is:
