 Composing keys on a US keyboard do not work, they all produce a question-
 mark character instead of combining ("?"). Even the "simple" non-combining
 keys (like AltGr-S for "ß") produce a "?". On an arabic keyboard though,
 AltGr-S *does* produce "ß".

 To test, run Etoys and type into the text field in the top bar.
