[Educators] Usability of resources, was UNESCO Science

Hi all

There were quite a few resources mentioned in recent conversations in
the Educators list. Let's add them to the wiki, please!

also,

We need to clean up our listings of resources.

The goal is for someone looking for a given resource to find it.

:-)

Obstacles:

- obscurity as to placement (few if any end users *in deployments* even
know about the laptop.org wiki pages, much less how to navigate them,
which can be daunting and often not at all logical or meaningful
following the menus on the left, which, BTW, are in English only)

- duplication (the problem here is that one listing of resources might
be updated while others are not - we had such an issue when trying to
find out where a potential translator was supposed to sign - turned out
he had to do it in 3 different places...) This gets compounded when we
think about other languages.

- lack of organization (a plain listing is sort of OK when there's 10,
20 resources. Above that, it becomes confusing. Should we categorize
books, content and resources using the Dewey system? Separate categories
into sub-pages?)

- noise (for example, Peripherals happily lists useless paraphernalia
such as the hand crank and other such, together with the only 2 or 3
items that actually work, and actually are available...)

(I wouldn't be aware of this unless someone in the Sur list had updated
the Spanish Books page and told us about it...)

So, how do you find that wiki page? If you're asking that question,
you're proving the point things are not obvious enough...
