Sorry for responding out of the thread but somehow the original e-mail disappeared :-?

Anyway, what about modifying the speaker openings as shown in the attached picture to allow sensor placement underneath one or both sides of the scree. Actually two sensors could take care of the occasionally "intrusive handling of the XO.
