As I have a tiny understanding of LEDs, I recall something about being able to detect light with them.
Are any of the LEDs on the XO-1 or XO-1.5 able to do this? I'm guessing no, but
I'd thought I'd 'throw it out there' to see if it was possible.
Since it was done for the xo-1.75, that would imply support and thus even if it
was possible on the other units, it would not be supported.
