XO 1.75 battery life?

Hi guys! Met up with the OLPC Auckland peeps a while ago :)

One of the XO-1.75 B1 prototypes is now on loan with me, and I'll be
doing some testing on the battery life. (it's the one with the "high
school" non-membrane hard keys keyboard).

I'll also do some benchmarking.

We're seeing some graphical glitches with this particular unit,
usually the cursor turning into QR code :)

Could be just mistaken impressions, but some stuff seem a little
snappier on the XO-1? Fantastic work on the trackpad btw, doesn't seem
to have the problems from the XO-1 where they need to be re-calibrated
with the 4-finger corner salute.

Btw, I got Arduino 23 running good with the XO-1 with 11.3.0 (as
root), looks like I need to do some RXTX stuff to get it running as
normal user with USB access (

The Arduino 1.0 software just came out yesterday or so so looks like
another round of uninstall re-install-test :)

Off to bed, but just in case anyone here knows, are there any newer
versions of OpenJDK for Fedora-ARM (at least 1.6.0) -> sudo yum
install only has 1.5.0 on ARM, this doesn't work:

Discussed attracting additional volunteer developers from other
platforms with the OLPC Auckland peeps a while ago, hopefully things
go well :)

I'll do a pingback on sugarizing web apps, Walter, maybe get some
stuff updated on the OLPC Wiki.
