Forgot to mention that for gabble, you can tell some servers that you
are going to sleep and it will queue the presence updates for when you
wake up. So you won't be awoke by presence updates, just by direct
IM'ing.

This is right now implemented only in Google's XMPP server, but
there's quite a bit of a chance we could persuade the Prosody hackers
to implement something similar:
