os351 on XO-1 - Browse & memory pressure

While testing an olpc-utils rpm, I opened Browse on os351 . It
immediately puts the machine on the unusable-under-memory-pressure
situation.

It can barely handle a google results page.

Personally, I haven't played with 10.1.x on XO-1s much. Has Browse
been usable in earlier F11-based releases? Is it usable on dextrose?
