initrd: read file from flash

Hi, I have a question about initrd,

can I read a file located in flash card from initrd?
if my file is in /boot I could read it from /bootpart directory?

For example:

mount_boot
content='cat /bootpart/security/myfile'
umount_boot

mount_boot and  umount_boot are defined in 30olpc-boot-prepivot.sh
