The screenshots look interesting, so I'd like to try it out. However I
can't find it on activities.sugarlabs.org and neither your mail nor the
URL you mentioned above gives any indication of where I can either
download a bundle or access some VCS.

The instructions on setting up the "Pictures" folder look dubious. What
exactly are you trying to achieve? Maybe we can come up with a better
way to handle it.

You mention that you create a thumbnail for every picture in the Journal.
Is this only for those without an existing preview or for all of them?

BTW, since this is about software, not hardware, I'd suggest to move
the discussion to sugar-devel. [1]
