Record activity for XO-1.5

Hi,

I think we're going to want to ship something close to Daniel's tree
on XO-1.5 -- since we need something that works there, soon -- so
we'd have to work out a versioning scheme to use for that.  (It would
obviously be ideal to have Daniel's code merged in the next release
of Record, so that there aren't two version streams happening.)
