forgot to mention the known issues, both residing outside the code of
Record (I think):

 - new version uses much less CPU than old version, which means that
we get bitten by a kernel bug in the VIA DMA code, frames get
corrupted when the CPU is able to go into C3 low power mode (as it
does very frequently)
 - picture-in-picture display in Audio and Photo mode shows upper-left
corner of image only, rather than scaling it. (suspected to be a bug
in openchrome's Xv support)

Both bugs have people looking at them.
