I agree that the user who installs a new build ought to be 
cautioned.  But the success of the implementation depends entirely 
upon the correct reference list being provided "back at the ranch".

I have seen the wiki.laptop.org/go/Activities/G1G1/8.2 page list 
Activity versions that were *older* than those listed for "plain" 
G1G1.  And what about customized country deployments -- who will 
make sure that the activity updater accesses the set of Activities 
appropriate to the build someone in the hinterlands is installing ?
