Yes; the software has been (relatively) happily deployed on
update.laptop.org for a year. I don't know how easy it is to install,
but once installed, it seems to run fairly smoothly.

The other thing you might want to be aware of is 'xs-rsync'. Ask Martin
on server-devel@ for more details.
