Also, this is problematic because the OFW patches being used in the OLPC
kernel aren't upstream either. Which means yet more[1] stuff in
upstream projects that is dependent on not upstreamed kernel
functionality.
All of the efforts underway to use the XO outside of the original narrow
path makes it that much more clear that kernel changes need to be
aggressively being pushed upstream, not having that done far later... :/

[1] The battery do-not-poll stuff that already made its way into hal I
found out on Friday late afternoon is dependent on bits of the olpc
battery and power management code which aren't upstream at all :(
