Ah, it was pebkac after all. I thought cjson was in the box.
Simplejson is not though (json.py is).

Thanks to Ivan for the hint on the reason for the rename, and to Tomeu
for the where-to-find-the-logs links. Will be playing with the new
patch in a couple of hs.
