I see you've committed it already, and Dan pushed an updated amd driver
in the latest build. Thus, closing #3352 as fixed.
Yesterday I also went to #xorg-devel and asked Keith Packard what they
deal with VM and accelerated uploads in their driver.
He explained to me that their UMA architecture also handles a
Graphics Translation Table (GTT), which works pretty much like
an MMU.
Without this hardware feature, Keith thinks we'd be still accelerate
uploads by allocating bitmaps with the TTM memory manager, which has
been reviewed recently and should be going into the kernel very soon.
An interesting project for the near future would be adding DRM support
to the amd driver.
