Networking hangs

I don't see any changes.

I read that as "something is broken", but not much help in pointing the 
finger anyplace.

Not that I know of.  I haven't run any activities or poked the power button.

The LEDs on the USB Ethernet dongle are still on.

It often keeps working long after the display gets turned off.

Maybe but it doesn't look like a good fit to me.

That bug happened on 622 (and earlier).  I didn't see it with 623.  It could 
have been there, but if so, it happens much much less frequently.

My case might depend on which of my neighbors has their WiFi turned on.
