SW for B4 build
406.10 - has everything but new AMD X driver - that will go in tomorrow
(406.11)
406.11 will be the B4 production build.
We must upgrade the software after B4 build but before the machines hit
the field.
There is a wireless firmware issue that will require an update (on the
air packet
format change related to 802.11s compatibility). The firmware drop from
Marvell
is in QA, we will receive the final drop on the 26th, and will get a
preview copy
sooner.
The BTest-4 milestone is hereby declared to mean that upgrade.
Richard has an EC fix - WLAN wakeup fails after game keys are pressed.
We will not deploy this EC fix for the B4 build, but may put it in the
B4 upgrade.
New interesting bug - #1687 - keyboard/touchpad does not generate wakeup
events.
Blockers:
#1276 - (assigned to Eben, but jg is designing it and Bernie will
implement it)
#1683 - possible configuration issue. Reassign to dcbw.
#1514 - working with Quanta
#1420 - move to Trial 2.
#23 - reassign to Scott Ananian, possibly split out IPv6 component
#24 - No progress. (Wad is spending time downgrading school server to
not support IPv6)
#1505 - Nelson and Christine (Ivan's interns) are handling it. It is
moving along.
#1650 - still in analysis
June 26 is the feature freeze date for Trial-2.
Everyone, please try to correlate commit commits and trac numbers.
There is a regular test meeting on Mondays.
Please enter new bugs as untriaged.
Hiring:
* Walter is working on a job description for a support engineer, to do
bug triage,
answer easy questions, do bug paperwork, etc. If you know someone, tell
Kim.
* Also looking for someone to work on server, tell Wad.
* Need python hackers, tell Jim or Chris Blizzard.
Battery life measurements:
To duplicate the ebook battery life measurements, we will need the EC
fix to make wireless resume reliable.
Quanta wants a more detailed description about how to do battery life
measurements.
AI: Jim to discuss battery life test strategies with Chris Ball and
Wad. Need
to help Quanta duplicate our test setup.
