No matter what I change, after the first successful try,
I can't get the evdev to work any more.

I've rebooted several times with different kernel
versions. I even powered off the machine completely.
I disabled gpm, just in case.

The internal keyboard and a USB mice are the only
devices I could get to work.

The GS is correctly detected by the kernel and by
the respeclaration program:

 -bash-3.2# /home/bernie/fdo/bin/respeclaration --list-input-devices
device OLPC ALPS PenTablet: path /dev/input/event4
device OLPC ALPS GlideSensor: path /dev/input/event3
device AT Translated Set 2 keyboard: path /dev/input/event2 (keyboard)
device PS/2+USB Mouse: path /dev/input/event1 (pointer)
device Geode PM: path /dev/input/event0 (keyboard)

something wrong that I did not do the first time I
tested with you. Most probably my fault, there's no
need to go looking for phantom bugs for now.

Well... I'll sleep over it and dig more into
it tomorrow.
