which image to use with Q emu

Yes, exactly right.  We occasionally make a build that doesn't work
under emulation, but it's always a bug if this is the case for a stable
build.  The latest stable build is 239, so I suggest using:

http://olpc.download.redhat.com/olpc/streams/development/build239/devel_ext3/olpc-redhat-stream-development-build-239-20070118_1416-devel_ext3.img.bz2
