QEMU emulates an old Cirrus Logic PCI card, which is quite
faster than fbdev because it has a blitter with some
"hardware" acceleration.

Recent CVS snapshots of QEMU also support the vmware_drv,
so we may want to use it exclusively when this feature
becomes sufficiently available.
