Hi Phil,
Thanks for the tip. I tried out build 303 and got it working (and
realized that I had been doing some steps wrong previously.)
Now I am trying build 385, and I can get through all the steps on
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/OS_images_for_emulation#QEMU_on_Mac_OS_X
with build 385. However, when I set up the keyboard layout and the
eth0 along the lines of
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/
Using_QEMU_on_Troubleshooting#Enabling_the_Network_Alternative_.231
with the following steps:
#echo loadkeys dvorak >> /etc/rc.local
#echo ifup eth0 >> /etc/rc.local
#. /etc/rc.local
# Ctrl-D
the build 385 does not enter into the Sugar environment but rather
gives me a localhost login prompt. Build 303 enters the Sugar
environment, and build 385 seems to want to: 385 has the login
prompt, then a black screen, then it comes back to the login prompt
with a new line saying something like "build olpc-385 ....." with
this cycle repeating over and over.
Anybody have any hints as to what might be happening?
Cheers,
Julius
