 The changes I've made to get local service status from Avahi make that
 patch obsolete (thanks though!).  Other bits that still need updating:

 1) Use 'ip6_address' keys everywhere in D-Bus API
 2) Switch avahi service announcements & browsing over to IPv6
 3) Use IPv6 addresses in Service objects
 4) Allow only IPv6 addresses for service announcement API calls
